Heat Card

HEAT

Layfield Promotions presents Heat, a rotating event that takes place every 10 days. With a maximum of 10 days between events, we look forward to allowing extra time off between events, as opposed to other companies who present shows on a weekly basis and are more apt to burn-out and injuries.

At this current time, Layfield Promotions only tours in the Southern United States, primarily in coliseums and civic centers that house maximums of 5,000 audience members.

Commentary for this event is covered by David Otunga and Joey Styles. The backstage interviewer Heat is either Jeremy Borash or Kayla Braxton.

Layfield Promotions’ Heat is a true game changer, as it looks to present the very best athletes in an effort to restore integrity and class back into the pro wrestling industry.

Let’s crank up the heat!

heat EPISODE #002

LOCATION:
FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee
DEADLINE: Sunday, August 15th, 2021 at 11:59PM Central

Last week, The Young Bucks were handed a defeat, despite seemingly having a match against the Briscoes won, until interference from their mentor ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. Moments thereafter, JBL would grant The Young Bucks this match against Cody and Dustin Rhodes, familiar friends of The Bucks. JBL would then go on to up the ante, making this match a Contender’s Match for the vacant JLP World Tag Team Championship!

It seems like these two athletes are linked together forever, and on the second episode of Heat, they’ll do battle for the first time under the Layfield Promotions banner. On episode one, Rollins interrupted Layfield’s opening presentation, and for that cardinal sin, he’s been sentenced to face off against The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.

On episode one, LA Knight’s debut match against Rikishi was thrown out when it was immediately interrupted by the debuting Jon Moxley. Now, seeking revenge for ruining his moment in the sun, LA Knight is set to square off against Jon Moxley.

Episode one’s main event was enthralling, and lead to a showdown between AJ Styles and Kenny Omega, that eventually saw “The Cleaner” pick up a victory. This week, he faces off against AJ Styles’ personal colossus, Omos! Can “The Best Bout Machine” topple the 7’3″ giant?

At the end of episode one, Finn Balor and the rest of the Bullet Club made their shocking debut for Layfield Promotions and made their presence known. AJ Styles was quite literally seconds away from a victory, but had it stolen by Omega, so he will undoubtedly be looking for a victory when Finn Balor and AJ Styles face in singles action!

This past weekend, John “Bradshaw” Layfield announced an Over-The-Top Battle Royal where the winner would receive a VERY special prize. He indicated that this Battle Royal was open to any competitor on the roster!

The Doctor of Thuganomics makes his long awaited return to the squared circle when he takes on a familiar foe. The Miz squares off against John Cena in a match that is set to reignite a legendary rivalry!

“The Aerial Ace” Will Ospreay was handed a quick loss last episode and will be looking to rebound in a big way this time out. Matt Sydal was also in the same boat, and undoubtedly will be looking to get back on track with a victory!
